Himachal: Thunder, hailstorm disrupts normal life

Shimla, Apr 10 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh experienced severe weather with hailstorms and thunderstorms affecting several districts including Shimla, Sirmaur, and Mandi on Thursday afternoon.
The hailstorm caused significant damage to crops such as peach, plum, apricot, pears, peas, and apples, particularly in areas like Nauradhar, Saraj Ghati, Rohnaut, and Haripurdhar in Sirmaur district.
Shimla also saw disruptions due to light rain and hailstorms, which led to a sharp drop in temperatures. In Kullu district, heavy hailstorms damaged pomegranate, apple, and cherry crops in Anni, Nirmand, and Bajoura.
