How come BJP leaders are not ashamed to hold felicitation ceremonies while the country is in mourning: Congress' Londhe

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) Coming down heavily on the BJP, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Chief Spokesperson Atul Londhe has asked why the BJP leaders and ministers are holding felicitation ceremonies when the entire country is mourning the deaths of the 26 people killed by terrorists in Pahalgam.
Hitting out at the BJP, Londhe said on Friday that the entire country has been shaken by the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam and there is intense anger among the people. "It is extremely infuriating that BJP leaders and ministers are holding felicitation ceremonies on such a tragic occasion," he said.
"How come BJP leaders are not ashamed to hold felicitation ceremonies," he asked.
Londhe said that a grand civic felicitation ceremony for BJP leaders has been organised in Amravati on April 26 (tomorrow). The ceremony is being held at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hall for Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde, Minister Datta Bharne, MLA Gopichand Padalkar and other leaders.
"Six tourists from Maharashtra have died in the Pahalgam attack, their ashes have not yet cooled. The atmosphere of grief is still there in the homes of these citizens, they have not yet recovered from this shock. But BJP leaders are accepting defeat, is this the culture of BJP, ?" he further asked.
"Ram Shinde is in a constitutional position; these leaders should be ashamed not of the people but of their hearts. They should have thought of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajmata Ahilyadevi Holkar. There is grief in other people's homes, but these BJP leaders have nothing to do with it," added Londhe.
