J&K: 4 including SPO injured in accident at Nowyug Tunnel

Srinagar, Apr 1 (UNI) Four persons, including a Special Police Officer (SPO), were injured in a road accident near the Nowyug Tunnel along the Jammu Srinagar highway on Tuesday, officials said

The incident occurred when a Hector vehicle bearing registration number JK01 AL 0707 collided with a divider and struck the police bunker of the Nowyug Tunnel police post.



According to officials, the injured include three civilians and SPO Showkat Ahmad, who was stationed at the Nowyug Tunnel police post.

All four injured were immediately referred to Qazigund Hospital for treatment.



The other injured were identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dalal, Umer Bashir Najar, Javid Ahmad Mir, all residents of Bungam, Shopian.
