Kaithal Police launch special anti-drugs awareness campaign

Kaithal, May 4 (UNI) Kaithal Police is conducting a special campaign against drug addiction, under which the youth are being encouraged to connect with sports activities in order to keep them away from drugs.
The campaign is being undertaken as per the instructions of SP Aastha Modi.
ASI Omprakash, H.C. Sunil Kumar's team is going to villages to make the common man aware of the campaign and to keep away from drugs.
SP Aastha Modi in her message to people said: "Say yes to life and no to drugs".
She said that through this campaign, the purpose of the police is to make the common man aware of the evils of drugs and to connect the drug addicts to the mainstream of the society.
On Sunday, the police team made the common man aware of the special anti-drugs campaign in Kharkan, Samadha, Urlana, Paprala, Cheeka and Guhla Grain Market.
People were made aware that drug addiction is an evil that ends a person's life ahead of time. A drug addict spoils the life of the entire family as well.
Team members said that first the younger generation will have to be saved from drugs. The aim of the police is to ensure that drug addicts join the mainstream of society. The police team appealed to the public to inform the police department on the number 9254049337 of Dial 112 or Anti Narcotic Cell Kaithal regarding drug peddlers and drug addicts so that timely steps can be taken to curtail the evil of drugs.
The name of the informer will be kept secret. Along with this, if a person is addicted to any kind of intoxication and wants to leave drug addiction, then he or she can also avail of services in the government hospital Kaithal. All possible help will be provided by the police administration to such a person.
