Kattupalli Port launches CSR initiatives

Chennai, June 20 (UNI) The Adani Kattupalli Port as part of its CSR initiatives
inaugurated Toilet Blocks at Kattupalli and Lighthouse Panchayat Government
Schools and established ATM Based RO Plant at Kadal Kanniyur of Thangal
Perumbulam Panchayat.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Adani Kattupalli
Port, through its CSR wing Adani Foundation, had newly constructed Toilet blocks
at Kattupalli Government Higher Secondary School, Thirumalainagar
Government Primary School and also Government Middle School at Lighthouse
Kuppam, of Lighthouse Panchayat.
This initiative aims at to improve health and hygienic standards of school children
by way of ensuring access to clean and safe sanitation facilities, a press release
said here today.
A total of 252 students have directly benefited from the Project. Further, to meet
the growing demand for safe and hygienic drinking water facilities to the Tribal
Irula communities, one 1000 LPH - ATM based RO Plant has also been established.
The total cost of the above four works are estimated at Rs. 46.31 lakhs.
The works after completion have been inaugurated by Mr. Cherian Abraham,
Business Head – Adani Kattupalli and Ennore Ports on Friday.
Officials from the Departments of Education and Panchayat Administration, Local
Village leaders and Public have participated and graced the occasions.
These initiatives reflect Adani Kattupalli Port’s enduring commitment towards
Education, Health and Infrastructure facilities through Community focused
Interventions under its CSR mandates.
