Maha: 38 people lose Rs 81 lakh in cryptocurrency fraud

Nashik, Apr 11 (UNI) In an alleged major cryptocurrency investment scam in Maharashtra's Nashik, scammers have duped hundreds of investors by luring them with brokerage and a trip to Campmax if they add new people to the scheme in a chain with a specific monthly investment.
38 people who fell prey to this lure have approached the police and it has come to light that they have been cheated of Rs 81 lakh.
A case has been registered at the Cyber Police Station under the IT Act along with fraud, and the police have predicted that the number of frauds including complainants is likely to increase.
