Maha: Amit Shah visits NCP (AP) leader Sunil Tatkare's house for lunch

Kolhapur / Raigad, Apr 12 (UNI) Amidst growing tensions between Mahayuti alliance partners Shiv Sena (Shinde) and NCP (AP) on contentious issue of appointment of guardian minister of Raigad district, NCP (AP) leader Sunil Tatkare on Saturday hosted Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah at his house for lunch.
After paying tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Raigad fort in Raigad district on occasion of 345th death anniversary today, Shah visited Tatkare's house 'Rohan' of the district, had lunch and spent about 45 minutes there.
He was accompanied by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his two deputies Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar.
Later talking to reporters at his residence, Tatkare made it clear that there was no discussion on state politics nor on appointment of the guardian minister of Raigad district.
He said that he had invited all senior ministers of alliance partners including Uday Samant and Bharat Gogavale but Gogavale did not come for the lunch.
There are political differences between NCP-AP and Shiv Sena (Shinde) over the Raigad guardian minister's post, as the post is currently being held by CM Fadnavis after protest over appointment of Tatkare's daughter Aditi Tatkare as guardian minister of Raigad district.
Whereas, Shiv Sena (Shinde) wants its minister Bharat Gogavale to be appointed as guardian minister.
