Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray today entrusted a big responsibility on Sudhir Salvi by appointing him party secretary. Salvi is famous for the Lalbagh ka Raja Sarvajana Ganeshotsav Mandal in Mumbai.

The Lalbagh area is considered the stronghold of the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray group.

Therefore, there is talk that Thackeray made a great political move by giving the party secretary post to Salvi at a crucial moment.

Earlier, Salvi had expressed his desire to contest from the Sewri assembly constituency during the assembly elections, but he had to withdraw.

The 'Lalbaugcha Raja' Ganeshotsav Mandal has created a buzz around Salvi. Many big leaders and celebrities visit Lalbaug during the Ganpati festival.
