Maha: Burglar arrested, jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh recovered

Kolhapur, Apr 10 (UNI) The Local Crime Branch (LCB) on Thursday claimed to have solved 14 cases of robbery with arrest of a burglar and recovered stolen gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh.
Accused was caught red-handed by residents while stealing petrol from a two-wheeler in a parking lot of a residential building and handed over to LCB.
During questioning, accused Sagar Bhagvan Renuse (36), resident of Golibar Maidan Kasba Bavada area of the city, confessed to having committed 14 burglaries and stealing total 175 gram gold jewellery and 2.650 kg silver ornaments, collectively worth Rs 20 lakh.
