Mumbai, Apr 2 (UNI) The Bombay High Court on Wednesday asked its Registry department to place before the appropriate bench the petition filed by father of celebrity manager Disha Salian.
In the petition, Disha Salian's father has accused Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray and a former city police commissioner, among others, of being involved in the death of Disha and has also sought a probe into the mysterious circumstances under which she was found dead in June 2020.
Salian was the manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
While making arguments before a division bench of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Neela Gokhale, before which the petition was listed today, Advocate Ghanshyam Upadhyay, representing Salian, informed the bench that the petition pertains to crime against women and the assignment pertains to the division bench, headed by Justice Sarang Kotwal.
The court then directed the HC’s Registry department to take steps to place the petition before that bench.
