Mumbai, Apr 2 (UNI) The city police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly making a threat call to blow up the police headquarter in South Mumbai.
Man, a resident of Mulund area, seemed to be mentally disturbed and was upset with the police.
An officer said that around 1 am on Tuesday, the city police control room received a call from a mobile number.
The caller allegedly started abusing the Mumbai police and said that he would blow up the police headquarters.
He claimed to be the brother of “aatanki Kasab”, apparently referring to Ajmal Amir Kasab, the 26/11 terror attack convict who was hanged. “Kasab ka bhai bol raha hoon,” he said and hung up.
After receiving the call, the police traced the mobile number to Mulund, following which an FIR (first information report) was registered at the Mulund police station.
The police then tracked down the caller and arrested him on Wednesday.
