Mizoram ‘Banakaih’ scheme’s aligns with Viksit Bharat 2047

Aizawl, Feb 19 (UNI) Mizoram Governor Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh on Wednesday underscored the state government’s commitment to fostering inclusive economic growth through its flagship ‘Banakaih’ or Handholding Scheme, aligning with the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Delivering his customary address on the inaugural day of the budget session of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly, Gen. Singh emphasised that the scheme, launched on September 19, 2024, is designed to provide financial assistance and institutional support to entrepreneurs and farmers across the state.
“The Mizoram Bana Kaih (Handholding) Scheme aims to uplift economic conditions through targeted programmes that promote self-reliance and sustainable development,” he said.
