Arunachal: Missing minor girl rescued, elder brother held for sexual assault

Itanagar, Feb 28 (UNI) A minor girl, who reportedly went missing from Itanagar in December last year, has been traced to Guwahati, and a person alleged to have kidnapped her was apprehended, a senior police officer said on Friday.
Itanagar SP Rohit Rajbir Singh said that a written FIR was received on January 31 from a 47-year-old resident of Chimpu, reporting that his 11-year-old daughter had gone missing on December 5, 2024, around 5 pm.
Accordingly, a case was registered at Itanagar Women Police Station under Section 137(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation was initiated.
