Groundwater level improves in Bihar, over 64K new water sources created in 5 years

Patna, Apr 7 (UNI) The ambitious Jal Jivan Hariyali mission launched for environment and water conservation was exhibiting encouraging results in Bihar by creating
64,098 new water sources and improving the groundwater level.
Official sources here on Monday said that the major contribution in the achievement was made by the Rural Development Department which created 55,642 water sources followed by the Agriculture Department with 5,607 and Animal and Husbandry Resources Department with 2,827 sources from 2019 till date.
