CBSE Board exams begin under tight security in Manipur

Imphal, Feb 15 (UNI) Board Examinations conducted by CBSE for Class X and XII began amid stringent security under police and administration's vigilance in the state on Saturday.
Prohibitory orders within a 100 m range of all examination centres were promulgated by the concerned District Magistrates under Section 163 of BNSS, 2023. There was a restriction on the entry of any vehicle and person carrying arms, daos, swords, knives, heavy iron bars pointed or blunt, other lethal weapons etc. and any other unauthorised persons within the area.
The restrictions were not meant for candidates, officials, and vehicles authorised by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi; the plying of vehicles along the roads; and such other persons as the district magistrate may from time to time admit for assisting in the conduct of the examinations.
