Tripura Sports veteran passes away

Agartala, Apr 8 (UNI) Veteran sports personality of Tripura Prabodh Ranjan Dutta passed away early Tuesday in Tripura Medical College and BRM Teaching Hospital after a prolonged suffering of old age ailments.
He was 83. He leaves behind two sons - Kiriti Dutta, a distinguished sports journalist, and Prasenjit Dutta, an international chess player and coach of the Indian chess team, along with a daughter, relatives, and countless admirers.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Sports Minister Tinku Roy, and Agartala Press Club President Pranab Sarkar expressed condolences over the death of Prabodh Dutta.
