Congress will now contest as team "A" and not as team "B": Allavaru

Congress will now contest as team

Patna, March 2 (UNI)Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru categorically cleared that his party would contest the coming assembly elections as "A" team.
Allavaru who has been continuously camping in Bihar since he was made In-charge of the state unit of the party, said here on Sunday that the Congress this time will not play the role of team B and was prepared to play the role of Big Brother in the grand alliance. He said Congress would enter into the electoral battle as team A and would contest the elections with vigour and full strength.
Even after being the national party, the role of Congress in the grand alliance was not according to its status, and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of Lalu Prasad Yadav, playing the role of team A always dominated the alliance.
For Allavaru the coming Assembly Elections would most likely be a litmus test for him. Realising it Allavaru was continuously interacting with the leaders and workers of every rank and file within the party.
Toeing the lines of aggressive politics Allavaru announced to fight as a team and was preparing the party workers for it.
In the 2020 Assembly Elections, RJD- Congress had entered into the electoral battle along with the left parties. Even after being a national outfit, the Congress had contested 70 seats whereas RJD fought 144. The CPI had got 6 seats while the CPM had contested 4 seats.
Meanwhile, senior RJD leader Bhai Virendra, reacting to the statements of Allavaru said that there is no need to pay attention to anyone's statement as RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi share cozy political relations.
Lambasting Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Allavaru alleged that the double-engine government of Bihar was irrelevant and was even worse than a Khatara gadi.
He said that people should ask Kumar to explain what he has done during the 20 years of his rule.
Speaking about the speculations of Kumar's son Nishant Kumar entering into politics, Allavaru said it was a matter between NDA and Kumar. However, if anyone does something good for the people he is welcomed in politics.
