Quake measuring 5.6 hits Manipur; tremors felt in Assam, Nagaland

Imphal, Mar 5 (UNI) A mild earthquake, measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale, hit Manipur on Wednesday morning.
The tremor occurred at 11.06 am, with its epicentre in the Manipur-Myanmar border area.
People ran out from their houses when the tremor was felt. The impact was felt in neighbouring states like Assam and Nagaland, but no calamity has been reported so far.
