Couple killed after car crushes motor cycle

Hoshiarpur, Apr 4 (UNI) A couple got killed after the motorcycle was hit by a speeding car near village Nanowal Vaid on the Hoshiarpur-Tanda road on Friday, police said.
According to ASI Ranjit Singh, the deceased have been identified as Harjinder Singh (37) and his
wife Rekha Rani (35) of Muradpur Naryal village.
The incident occurred when the couple, while riding a motorcycle, attempted to turn towards the petrol pump and were struck by an oncoming car. Both sustained severe injuries in the collision and succumbed to them while being taken to the hospital.
Investigation into the incident is underway, the ASI said. UNI GS XC SSP

Himachal Pradesh ministerial council approves interim contract for Hotel Wildflower Hall

Shimla, Apr 5 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Council of Ministers today decided to enter into an interim operation contract with East India Hotel Ltd (EIH Ltd) for the management of Hotel Wildflower Hall in Mashobra. The draft of the contract was approved in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Under the agreement, EIH Ltd will manage the property on an interim basis, ensuring a monthly revenue of Rs 1.77 crore for the state government.
