Haryana Minister demands Omaxe City pay pending power bill principal amount in 2 months

Chandigarh, Apr 21 (UNI) Haryana's Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar on Monday directed real estate firm Omaxe City officials to ensure payment of the pending electricity bill principal amount within two months, and warned that otherwise an FIR will be lodged against the company.
He said if additional charge has been imposed on Omaxe City without any reason, then it will be refunded.
Panwar was presiding over the monthly meeting of the Rohtak District Public Relations and Grievance Committee. Total 13 complaints were placed in the meeting of this committee, out of which seven complaints were settled on the spot and instructions were given to submit a report in respect of the other 6 complaints.
Hearing a complaint, he said the amount of pending electricity bill by Omaxe City and the pending amount of the work of 33 KV sub-station power house etc. should be paid within two months.
The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has been asked to issue personal electricity meters to the residents living in Omaxe on payment of the pending amount. Omaxe has to pay pending electricity bill of more than Rs 72 lakh and deposit an amount of more than Rs 5 crore as bank guarantee. The ownership of the land has been transferred by Omaxe City.
The Development and Panchayat Minister, while hearing the complaint related to the closure of the factory being run illegally, said if the complainant has reached a mutual settlement, then action should be taken against him for misleading the committee. UNI GS SSP
