Himachal Pradesh Government Releases MLAs' Discretionary and Social Security Funds: Dy CM

Shimla, March 12 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri, clarified in the Assembly that the state government has already released the MLAs' discretionary funds.
He dismissed allegation made by Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, that the funds were being withheld by the government.
In response to a point of order raised by Thakur, Agnihotri emphasized that the Leader of Opposition should have verified the facts before making such allegations in the House. This sparked some agitation among BJP members, prompting Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania to remind them that they should listen to the Deputy Chief Minister's reply. Pathania also noted that if the Deputy CM's statement proved to be incorrect, there were other ways for members to address the issue, but they must first allow him to speak.
