Lucknow, Mar 12 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is giving protection to land mafias and criminals, is the biggest land mafia party.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said that there is terror of land mafias under the protection of BJP in the entire state. "Ever since BJP has come to power, its people are harassing the poor and forcibly registering lands at various places and occupying them," he alleged.
He said that if the registrations of lands done in many districts including Ayodhya during the BJP government are seen, then the whole truth will be revealed. "Now it has crossed all limits that land mafias are occupying even the lands of former army officers. They beat up people in protest. They threaten them. What could be a worse picture of law and order than this is that land mafias occupied the land of a retired army brigadier and attacked him lethally in protest. The victims are not getting justice," he said.
