Himachal BJP demands roll-back of taxi fare hike

Dharamshala: March 3 (UNI) Railing against the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh for raising the fares of taxis by 50 per cent, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday described the decision as "against the interests" of the common man.
State BJP Vice-President Pawan Kajal claimed Chief Minister S S Sukhu's government was now preparing to increase the fare of buses as well. He said a proposal to that effect has come up in the recently concluded Board of Directors meeting.
He said that HRTC is the common man's ride and only the common man travels in HRTC. He said that ever since the new government came to power, every day HRTC was taking "anti-people" decisions.
