BJP MLA Satpal Singh Sati Criticizes Government's Handling of Law and Order in Himachal Assembly

Shimla, Mar12 (UNI) BJP MLA Satpal Singh Sati sparked a heated exchange in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Wednesday as he criticized the state government's handling of law and order issues.
Speaking during the motion of thanks for the Governor's address, Sati alleged that the government had failed to provide adequate protection to its citizens and accused it of neglecting the rising lawlessness in the state.
Sati particularly highlighted an alarming incident in Chamba, where a Forest Guard was allegedly assaulted by a group of forest mafia. He claimed that the mafia bound the guard to a vehicle and dragged him after he tried to stop the illegal extraction of Kashmal roots from the forest. Sati condemned this act of violence and pointed out that such attacks on officials were indicative of the growing influence of criminal elements in the state under the current government.
