MP: Student dies by suicide after failing in Class 12 exams

Damoh, May 6 (UNI) A student in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district took her own life by hanging herself after failing in the Class 12 exams.

The incident occurred in Jhagar village under Patharia police station.

According to police sources, the student, who was studying science in Gadhakota, was devastated after the exam results were declared on Tuesday.

While the family members were busy with their daily chores on the ground floor, she went to a room on the first floor and hanged herself.

By the time family members reached the spot, she had already lost consciousness. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she was declared dead by the doctor. The family members believe that the poor exam result led to her tragic decision.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
