Jammu records season’s max 40 degree Celsius

Jammu, May 15 (UNI) The plains of Jammu on Thursday recorded season’s maximum temperatures 40.4 degrees Celsius as a significant rise was witnessed in the day temperature at multiple places across the Jammu and Kashmir.
Srinagar district, however, recorded 30 degrees Celsius.
A Met official said that Jammu was the hottest in the region at 40.4 degrees Celsius, adding, “till May 18 evening, weather is expected to be dry with the possibility of rain, thundershower, gusty winds later at scattered places.”
“The maximum day temperature is expected to rise during the next three days, mainly in the Jammu division,” he added.
