Telangana CM expresses satisfaction over successful implementation of Prajavani

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed satisfaction over the successful implementation of the Prajavani program, a public grievance redressal initiative that has seen widespread participation since its launch.
In a review meeting held at the Secretariat here on Monday, the Chief Minister assessed the status of petitions submitted through Prajavani, which runs twice a week at Mahatma Jyotibha Phule Praja Bhavan.
Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Planning Commission Vice Chairman Chinna Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari, Prajavani Nodal Officer Divya, and senior officials from various departments participated.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that since December 2023, a total of 54,619 petitions were received, of which 68.4 per cent (37,384) have been resolved.
Special departmental desks and even a dedicated Pravasi Prajavani to address Gulf-related grievances have been set up. Ambulance services and spot resolutions for urgent petitions are also being provided for the convenience of citizens.
Reddy instructed officials to strengthen the system further by linking district-level Prajavani programs with the central dashboard at Praja Bhavan. He emphasised the need for real-time dashboard access, allowing him to monitor grievances and resolutions remotely, enabling quicker instructions to the concerned departments.
The CM also directed the creation of an online portal displaying application statuses and details of government schemes to ensure public transparency, while safeguarding citizens’ personal data.
A committee of officers will be formed to draft necessary guidelines regarding information disclosure under prevailing laws.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to efficient, transparent, and people-centric governance, stating that Prajavani is a direct bridge between citizens and the administration, an official release here said.
