Engineers asked to be alert as peak demand for power likely to cross 17,500 MW during summer

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (UNI) Telangana Principal Secretary ( Energy) Sandeep Kumar Sultania on Friday cautioned the engineers to be more alert during the coming months given the expected peak demand of the state crossing 17,500 MW.
Sandeep who reviewed the implementation of the Summer Action Plan of TGNPDCL (Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited) to meet the increasing loads during this ongoing Rabi and summer season through Tele-conference from Secretariat here, expressed satisfaction over the present power supply position in the state.
He appreciated all the employees of the power sector for their concerted efforts in providing quality, reliable & uninterrupted power supply despite meeting the highest peak demand of 16,601 MW on February 26.
