NIRDPR signs MoU with KISS-DU to boost rural and tribal development

Hyderabad, Apr 5 (UNI) In a significant step toward strengthening rural and tribal development, the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad, and the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences Deemed to be University (KISS-DU), Bhubaneswar, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on training, research, teaching, and experiential learning in the tribal ecosystem.
The MoU, signed on Friday aims to promote joint initiatives in tribal development through evidence-based research, capacity building, and policy formulation. The partnership is expected to have a far-reaching impact on poverty alleviation, social security, and sustainable development at the grassroots level, particularly in tribal regions, a statement here said on Saturday.
Under this agreement, both institutions will work closely to empower tribal youth through education and training, and by connecting with organizations dedicated to tribal welfare. One of the major objectives includes the preparation of policy documents aimed at the socio-economic empowerment of tribal communities and the promotion of indigenous knowledge systems.
