Telangana CM expresses shock over demise of Vanajeevi Ramaiah

Hyderabad, Apr 12 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed deep shock over the death of Padma Shri awardee ‘Vanajeevi’ Ramaiah.
In a message posted on Twitter, the Chief Minister said, “The death of Padma Shri Vanajeevi Ramaiah garu is a great shock. Ramaiah was a distinguished environmentalist who planted one crore saplings and proudly adopted 'Vanajeevi' as his surname. Praying that his soul rest in peace. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family.”
Ramaiah, known for his lifelong dedication to environmental conservation, died in the early hours of Saturday due to a heart attack. He was 85.
