BJP will come to power in TN, Karnataka, Telangana: Kishan Reddy

Vijayawada, Apr 27 (UNI) Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy on Sunday exuded confidence that the BJP will come to power in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana.
Addressing a programme organised by the BJP as part of the 135th birth anniversary celebrations of BR Ambedkar Reddy said BJP rule will be established in the three South Indian states in the next elections.
He lauded Ambedkar stating despite being born in an underprivileged family, he emerged as a major intellectual figure of his time and became an inspiration and role model to all in the country.
Reddy alleged that the then Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru had campaigned for Ambedkar's defeat in the Parliament elections. The Congress party created such a situation that Ambedkar resigned as a Union Minister from Nehru’s Cabinet, he said.
Reddy said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for the country's progress. “When Narendra Modi was elected to Parliament for the first time, he entered the Parliament after paying tributes to Dr.Ambedkar,” Reddy noted.
The BJP is working to fulfill the aspiration of Ambedkar and striving to strengthen and honour the Constitution, orchestrated by the great leader.
He said the BJP headed government has developed a memorial at the place where Ambedkar's last rites were performed.
Reddy pointed out that during the Congress regime there was no statue of BR Ambedkar in the parliament premises. The Congress regime did not confer Bharat Ratna award to Ambedkar either, he reminisced.
“As soon as the BJP came to power, it installed the statue of Ambedkar on the premises of Parliament and conferred the Bharat Ratna award to him,” he highlighted.
Earlier, the BJP leaders listened to the "Maan Ki Baat" programme of PM Modi. UNI DP SSP
