Maha: Grains-laden truck comes on railway track, hit by express train, no injuries

Jalgaon, Mar 14 (UNI) A grain-loaded truck broke through a closed gate near a station, came directly onto the railway line and was hit by an express train in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district on Friday, but none was injured, officials said.The express train, coming from Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, was bound for Amravati, but met with the accident at 5 am near Bodwad station.
According to officials, a major disaster was averted as the speed of the train was low. However, the accident had disrupted traffic on the Bhusawal-Nagpur-Howrah route since morning.
The truck driver fled the scene taking advantage of the darkness.
