'If you live in Maha, you must know Marathi': BJP leader

Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) BJP leader Chitra Wagh on Wednesday demanded that people who live in Maharashtra must know Marathi and if they do not understand it, then they must be prepared to learn it and respect the language.
She made this demand while reacting to a video that has gone viral on social media, in which a young female employee at Airtel India showroom is reportedly heard saying to a customer that it is not compulsory to know or speak Marathi.
The young woman in the video says to a Marathi youth, "Why should I speak in Marathi? Where is it written? We live in Hindustan."
