Credit for caste-wise census goes to Rahul Gandhi: Maha Congress VP

Pune, May 1 (UNI) A day after the Centre took decision to carry out caste-wise census across the country, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress vice president and former MLA, Mohan Joshi, said on Thursday that the credit for it goes to the party leader and MP Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking after celebrating the victory with joy at Mahatma Phule Wada here, he said that for last 10 years, Rahul Gandhi had been demanding a caste-wise census in Parliament and on various platforms, but BJP leaders ignored this demand time and again.
Joshi further said BJP had criticised him at a lower level but finally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government had to bow down to Rahul Gandhi, who has always taken the side of the common people and will continue to do so, he added.
