Day temps above normal at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh

Pune, Mar 7 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch and Konkan and Goa; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Madhya Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka; at isolated places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana Gujarat region and Uttarakhand.
These were below normal (-3.0°C to -1.6°C) at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 39.2°C was reported at Erode (Tamil Nadu) over the country.
Night temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at isolated places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala and Mahe.
