Raipur, May 14 (UNI) The construction of the new building for Chhattisgarh Assembly is progressing rapidly on a 51-acre plot in Sector-19 of Nava Raipur, with over 95 percent of the work being completed so far.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh reviewed the progress of the construction in a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister's residence on Wednesday.

They directed that the building should be completed by September.

Sai said that the building will be a symbol of Chhattisgarh's democratic spirit and cultural dignity. Its grandeur and functionality will inspire the new generation.

The construction work of the new Assembly building is divided into three main wings - the Assembly Secretariat, the Assembly Hall and the Central Hall complex.

The work on the auditorium, media gallery, assembly hall, library, electrification, air conditioning, road construction, horticulture, water and electricity supply, interior decoration and fixed furniture is progressing rapidly.
