Moradabad (UP), May 5 (UNI) One person was killed and 13 others were injured when a roadways bus rammed into a tractor trolley in Thakurdwara area of Moradabad district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, a police officer said here.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Kunwar Akash Singh said that at around 4 am, the a roadways bus of Kashipur depot going from Moradabad to Ramnagar (Uttarakhand) via Nainital highway with passengers on board collided with a tractor trolley loaded with bricks near Fauladpur village under Thakurdwara police station area.
He said that the bus driver Mahfooz Alam (25), a resident of village Bokdawala in Thakurdwara (Moradabad) area, died on the spot in the incident while 13 passengers were slightly injured. "The injured include Ankit Rawat, Dayal Singh, Sandeep, Dharamveer Singh, Deepu, Geeta, Ravi Singh, Rahul, Sunil, Devendra Singh, Narendra and Parveen," he said.
The SP said that the tractor driver abandoned the vehicle tractor and fled from the spot after the incident.
