Bhubaneswar, May 18 (UNI) The strength and valor of our armed forces displayed during Operation Sindoor has made every Indian proud, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said while participating in a Sindoor Yatra at Sarasara village in Boudh district.
Majhi stated that the boundless Sindoor Yatra is not limited to Boudh or Bhubaneswar but is being held in villages across Odisha, reflecting the government's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
Hundreds of women joined the procession, holding the tricolor and chanting slogans like "Jai Hind" and "Bharat Mata Ki Jai."
The Chief Minister also participated in the Yatra, marching through the villages along with BJP MP Sukant Kumar Panigrahi, party chief whip Saroj Kumar Pradhan, and Kantamal MLA Kanhai Charan Dang.
Majhi emphasized the significance of Operation Sindoor, stating that such a fierce attack had not been carried out inside Pakistani territory since 1971.
He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that any terrorist attack on Indian soil would be treated as an act of war against the nation.
“Our army was always capable,” the Chief Minister said, “but due to a lack of political will in the past, many Indians had to pay with their lives.”
He appealed to every citizen to participate in the Tricolor Yatra to honor the brave soldiers who protect the nation.
Majhi added that the success of Operation Sindoor has elevated India’s security forces to the status of a leading military power on the global stage, and every Indian should take pride in it.
