Boudh Dist to be developed as model district: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, May 18 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Sunday that an action plan will soon be prepared to transform Boudh district into a model district.
During his visit to Boudh, the Chief Minister reviewed various developmental activities undertaken by the district administration.
He emphasized the need to prioritize projects related to industrialization, tourism development and renewable energy. He directed officials to formulate a comprehensive plan within the next month.
Majhi gathered detailed information from the District Collector and other concerned officials regarding the progress of ongoing departmental initiatives. He instructed the administration to accelerate projects that are currently progressing at a slow pace.
The Chief Minister noted significant advancements in key areas such as road and bridge construction, drinking water supply, education and healthcare infrastructure in the district.
He stressed that all projects must be completed within the stipulated timeframe and firmly stated that there should be no compromise on quality.
To ensure quality control, he called for a more rigorous inspection mechanism. He also emphasized the importance of public involvement, stating that local communities should be informed about the projects and their feedback should be taken into account to make the initiatives more transparent and people-centric.
Majhi further directed the district administration to coordinate closely with the state government to address challenges such as land acquisition, funding shortages, and manpower constraints. He assured that if needed, he would personally intervene to resolve any outstanding issues.
