Chennai, Apr 28 (UNI) Asserting that Pahalgam like incident (terror attack on tourists in J and K)
will never take place in Tami Nadu, Chief Minister M K Stalin on Monday declared that there was
no room for entry of Communal forces into the state.
Intervening, Ms Vanathi Srinivasan (BJP) during the debate on the demand for grants for Police an Fire services department in the Assembly, he said incidents like Phalagam in J and K will definitely not happen in Tamil Nadu.
Recalling that while making a statement in the House about the Pahalgam incident, Mr Stalin said
he did not speak about any security lapse by the Union government.
"What I had said was that as far as this incident in Kashmir is concerned, the TN government will
fully and definitely extend its full support to all the decisions taken by the Centre".
"Hence, as far as TN is concerned, Communalism can never, never, never enter TN", he added.
On her remarks that TN should be on par with developed nation, Mr Stalin, while thanking her, said the Centre has not released due share of funds to the State.
"If this (TN a developed nation) should become a reality, we are prepared and ready to implement several projects. You please tell your High Command and secure due funds to the State, including funds under the SSA scheme for the school education sector", he said.
