People who spread unscientific thoughts are social traitors: Chief Minister Vijayan

Kozhikode, Apr 12 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said today that the people who spread unscientific thoughts and ideas are termed as social traitors.
He added: "They are evil-doers and doing great harm to society at a time when modern medicines are in very advanced form."
Pinarayi Vijayan called on the people to unite against social evils and "such people who spread false propagandas".
CM Vijayan said "those who are anti-vaccine and adverse to guaranteeing safe birth are rolling back the health sector of Kerala".
His comments came in the wake of the death of a 35-year-old woman who died due to excessive bleeding during childbirth at her home in Malappuram on April 6.
The CM termed her death as unfortunate and added that such incidents should not occur.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was speaking during the foundation stone laying of the Phase two building being constructed, at a cost of Rs 83 crore, under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), a joint Central- State scheme for the welfare of minorities, at the District Hospital at Vadakara.
