Pilgrims' remarks should reflect joy and healing: Kerala CM Vijayan

Kannur, May 10 (UNI) Kerala Chief Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday emphasised that pilgrimages should inspire spiritual enlightenment and harmony.
Addressing the gathering, after the foundation-laying ceremony for the proposed Hajj House at Mattanur near Kannur International Airport and the state-level inauguration of Hajj camps at Mattanur, the Chief Minister highlighted that people from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles gather at pilgrimage centres across the world, underscoring the importance of unity in such events. He reminded that pilgrimages should become platforms to replace hatred with compassion and promote meaningful transformation.
He also noted that the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage is likely to be completed ahead of the regular pilgrimage season.
Kerala's first Hajj pilgrimage flight will depart from Karipur International Airport, on May 10 at 1.05 AM via Air India (1X3011) Express flight,
The final flight from Karipur is scheduled on May 22. A total of 5361 haj pilgrims will embark on their journey from Karipur Airport. Meanwhile, the first flight from the Kannur Hajj embarkation point will take off from Kannur International Airport on May 11. This location will serve 4929 pilgrims, 4825 from Kerala, 73 from Karnataka and 31 from Mahe in Puducherry.
The first flight from the Kochi embarkation point will begin on May 16 from Nedumbassery Airport .
Minister for Housing V. Abdurahman presided over the function, while Minister Ramachandran Kadanappalli distributed the boarding pass to the Haj pilgrims and K.K. Shailaja,MLA distributed the documents related to the Haj pilgrimage. UNI AK SSP
