Pune, Apr 21 (UNI) Seeing response received by Pink e-rickshaws in the first phase, these rickshaws will be started in other cities of the state as well, said Maharashtra Deputy Chief and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar on Monday.
Speaking at the Pink e-rickshaw distribution ceremony organised in premises of the Agricultural College at Shivajinagar here, he assured that the Pink e-rickshaws will be given feeder service status at metro stations, airports and tourist destinations.
He said that the Women & Child Development Department has set a target of distributing 10,000 Pink e-rickshaws in the first phase in the state. This includes eight cities namely Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Nagpur, Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Amravati, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Kolhapur and Solapur, he informed.
