Patna, May 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Patna on May 29 on a two-day visit to Bihar to attend public programmes and inaugurate the newly-constructed terminal of Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna.
Informing about the change in the scheduled visit of the Prime Minister to Bihar, the BJP state President Dilip Jaiswal said here on Saturday that now the Prime Minister will arrive here on May 29 instead of May 30 and would stay in the state for two days.
He said the Prime Minister is likely to inaugurate the newly-constructed terminal at the airport on May 29.
The Prime Minister will address a public meeting in Vikramganj of Rohtas district on May 30. Besides these two events, the Prime Minister is also slated to inaugurate and dedicate several development projects related to roads, electricity and airports of Bihar.
The Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of development projects worth crores of rupees, including four-lane highway from Patna to Sasaram in Bihar, and Varanasi to Ranchi, 600 MW power plant in Navinagar and for expansion of Bihta airport.
This is the first visit of the Prime Minister to Bihar after Operation Sindoor.
The Prime Minister had addressed a meeting in Jhanjharpur of Madhubani two days after the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. During his address the Prime Minister had vowed that India will eliminate the terrorists behind the attack.
Later the Indian Army conducted a surgical strike in POK and Pakistan under Operation Sindoor on the night of May 6 and 7 and damaged several hideouts of the terrorists.
