Patna, May 14 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed terminal of Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport of Patna on May 30.
After reviewing the preparedness for the PM programme scheduled on May 30, Chaudhary told news persons here on Wednesday that with the inauguration of the new terminal, the annual flow of flyers from Patna Airport would increase to 1 crore from the current 30 lakh.
He said that the Prime Minister is also scheduled to address a public meeting in Vikramganj.
During his visit, the Prime Minister would inaugurate and dedicate several development projects for roads, electricity, and an Airport for Bihar.
He said that Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of development projects worth crores of rupees, including a four-lane highway from Patna to Sasaram in Bihar and Varanasi to Ranchi, a 600 MW power plant in Navinagar, and for expansion of Bihta Airport.
JDU MP Sanjay Jhaz, state Chief Secretary, and the Director General of Police were also present during the review meeting.
