Security forces demolish Naxal dump in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Mar 31 (UNI) Security forces on Monday launched a massive search operation against the banned Maoist outfit in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, police said.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said today that security forces demolished a Naxal dump set up with an intention to cause damage in Diriburu forest under Tonto police station area. Explosives and other materials were recovered from the dump.
The SP said that top leaders of the CPI Maoist outfit Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Anal, Asim Mandal, Ajay Mahto, Sagen Angaria, Ashwin, Pintu Lohra, Chandan Lohra, Amit Hansda alias Upton, Jaykant, Rapa Munda along with their squads are touring the Saranda and Kolhan areas for subversive activities. In view of this, a joint operation is being conducted with District Police, CoBRA 209 Battalion, Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF 60, 197, 174, 193, 134, 26 Battalion.
This campaign is being carried out since the year 2022 in the border areas of village Kuida, Chhota Kuida, Maradiri, Meralgara, Hathiburu, Tilaibeda Boypaisasang, Katamba, Baihatu, Boroy, Lemsadih of Goelkera police station area and the border areas of village Husipi, Rajabasa, Tumbahka, Regada, Patatorab, Goburu, Luiya of Tonto police station area.
