Arunachal: APPSC Chairman meets Guv, discusses recruitment reforms

Itanagar, Apr 1 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Chairman Prof Pradip Lingfa called on Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday to discuss key developments in the Commission’s functioning.
During the meeting, Prof Lingfa briefed the Governor on the Commission’s efforts to enhance efficiency and transparency in the selection process. He also provided updates on the upcoming examination calendar and various initiatives aimed at improving the recruitment system, according to a communique from the Raj Bhavan.
Emphasizing the importance of a fair and merit-based recruitment process, which is vital for strengthening governance and public administration in the state, the Governor advised the APPSC Chairman to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and efficiency in every aspect of the Commission’s operations.
Recognizing the challenges associated with conducting recruitment examinations, the Governor suggested innovative solutions to streamline the selection process, including leveraging technology, ensuring robust security measures, and adopting best practices from other state public service commissions. He also emphasized on the need to align examinations to meet the emerging challenges in the environment.
APPSC Secretary Parul Gaur Mittal also attended the meeting and contributed to the discussions on administrative and procedural improvements within the Commission, the communique added.
