Telangana BJP condemns Minister Seethakka’s remarks on Karachi Bakery incident

Hyderabad, May 12 (UNI) The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday strongly condemned remarks made by Panchayat Raj Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, alleging that the BJP was involved in the attack on Karachi Bakery.

Addressing a press conference at the state party office in Nampally, former MLC N Ramchander Rao stated, “We strongly reject Minister Seethakka’s baseless accusation that the BJP attacked Karachi Bakery. Such statements are misleading and defamatory.”

He clarified that in the backdrop of rising tensions between India and Pakistan, BJP leaders and cadres across the country were engaged in prayers and motivational activities for the safety of Indian soldiers and the nation’s well-being.

“In this context, while an unfortunate incident occurred involving unidentified individuals at Karachi Bakery, the BJP had no connection to it. We categorically condemn the attack,” he added.

Rao asserted that the BJP does not believe in violence or in targeting businesses and individuals. “This is not part of our culture. In fact, such political behaviour has been historically associated with the Congress party. It is Congress leaders who have openly threatened to attack the house of BJP MP Etela Rajender,” he alleged.

He urged Minister Seethakka to verify facts before making public statements and warned Congress leaders against making baseless allegations. “We will not tolerate any threats or actions against our party leaders and condemn any attempts to malign the BJP through false narratives,” he added.
