Telangana CM visits Hiroshima Assembly, strengthens Telangana-Japan ties

Hyderabad/Hiroshima (Japan), Apr 22 (UNI) In a significant diplomatic and developmental outreach, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy led the "Telangana Rising" team on a visit to the Hiroshima Prefectural Assembly in Japan on Tuesday.
The delegation was warmly received by Assembly Speaker Takashi Nakamoto and a group of legislators.
Accompanying the Chief Minister were IT and Industries Minister D.\\\\\\\\ Sridhar Babu and key officials, including Jayesh Ranjan, V. Seshadri, Ajith Reddy, and Vishnu Vardhan Reddy. The visit was marked by cordial discussions and symbolic gestures aimed at strengthening ties between Telangana and Hiroshima, an official statement said.
Addressing the Hiroshima Assembly, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated, “It is an honour to come to Hiroshima. Hiroshima means hope — a city that has proven to the world that anything is possible if people work together. Like Hiroshima, Telangana is a symbol of people's hopes, aspirations, and struggle — a state that has achieved success with foresight.”
Minister Sridhar Babu emphasised shared values of peace, stability, and prosperity, underscoring that the visit was about collaboration and mutual growth, not just investment.
“Together, we will build a better, greener, and more inclusive world,” he said, extending an invitation to Japanese companies to explore Telangana’s robust sectors such as clean energy, electric mobility, precision manufacturing, and green hydrogen.
Highlighting Telangana's growing industrial ecosystem, the Minister noted that over fifty Japanese companies are already operating successfully in the state. He invited Hiroshima government officials and industrialists to visit Telangana and experience its progress firsthand, calling the state a gateway to India and a launchpad for global expansion.
The delegation later engaged with the Hiroshima Chamber of Commerce before visiting key landmarks, including the Gandhi Memorial, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and the iconic Atomic Bomb Dome — underscoring a shared vision for peace and resilience.
