Telangana: Guv attends Rajasthan Foundation Day celebrations in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Mar 30 (UNI) Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, attended the Rajasthan Foundation Day celebrations as the chief guest at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, here, on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor expressed his joy in commemorating Rajasthan’s Foundation Day and highlighted the state’s rich heritage.
He praised Rajasthan’s unique colour-coordinated cities and its historical and geographical significance, noting that it is home to the Aravalli range, the oldest mountain range in the Indian subcontinent, and Kalibangan, an important site of the ancient Indus Valley civilization.
He also lauded the state's magnificent forts and palaces, which stand as symbols of its glorious past.
The Governor commended the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative of the Government of India, which promotes cultural exchange and strengthens bonds between people from different states.
He expressed confidence that such programmes would continue to foster national unity and a spirit of togetherness among citizens.
The event was attended by M Dana Kishore, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Governor, along with other Raj Bhavan officials and staff.
Members of the Rajasthani community in Hyderabad also participated enthusiastically in the celebrations, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion, a Raj Bhavan communique said.
